Napper carried out the restoration of the historic Grade I listed ‘Merchant Adventurers Court’ in the Guildhall, Newcastle upon Tyne for the Freemen of Newcastle. The works comprised intricate plaster repairs to the ornate ceiling (dated 1620, although this is open to debate as it is suggested it may be a copy by John Dobson in 1825) and high level trionfi reliefs, repairs to the 1636 chimneypiece, new lighting installation and decoration to the ceiling, reliefs, oak wall panelling and eared entrance doorway.
