This project involved the internal planning of 15000m² of office space and an interior design fit out contract for the newly built Proctor & Gamble regional headquarters.  The work covered two buildings completed in separate phases, to provide a visually stimulating office environment for the relocated workforce.

Alnwick Treehouse Interior, Alnwick Gardens, Northumberland

Nature “reclaiming the building” has been the aim for the Treehouse interior.  Tree roots and bracken fungus creepers, subtle sounds and light aim to make this more than just a restaurant in the trees.  A glass floor at the door and large open fire are some of the features of this 80 cover restaurant.

This full interior fit out featured bespoke fittings and furniture in the residential reception and the preparation and furnishing of the show flat for sales purposes.  See also “Centralofts” in the residential gallery.

Treatment Spa, Dubai Mail, Dubai

An exclusive commission for a new luxurious Treatment Spa located in the world’s largest mall, the Dubai Mall at the foot of the Burj Dubai. The spaces were designed to be immersive and reflective of the wealth, exclusivity and flamboyancy of the location with the inspirations derived from the basic elements of earth, fire, air and water.

Theatre Royal Restaurant, Newcastle upon Tyne

Napper Architects were commissioned to undertake the largest expansion in its 170 year history. The Theatre Royal development has greatly increased the size of the building with an additional 1400m² developed with the former bank building on Market Street. Within this space a new  public realm has been created to house a new Box Office, Bistro, Restaurant, Education space and links back to the existing listed foyer and auditorium.

Sanctuary Restaurant, Alnwick, Northumberland

Napper Architects’ were commissioned by Northumberland Estates to masterplan, design & co-ordinate a package of small projects within the castle demise aimed at offering the visitor a number of new attractions, thereby improving the interpretation of the castle’s history and overall visitor experience.

The Sanctuary restaurant completed in 2006 is a 160 cover restaurant, refurbished over three floors and includes, a new kitchen and wine bar.

Alnwick Castle Guest Hall, Alnwick, Northumberland

Napper Architects were commissioned by Northumberland Estates to masterplan, design & co-ordinate a package of small projects within the castle demise aimed at offering the visitor a number of new attractions, thereby improving the interpretation of the castle’s history and overall visitor experience.  In January 2008 Napper finished the revamp on the original Anthony Salvin Guest Hall at Alnwick Castle. It finalises a masterplan of associated works within the Castle confines over the last three years. The new £0.75million  300 seater hall also  includes a new reception space, bar facility and restrooms. The hall complements the new restaurant and kitchen, previously installed last year and provides banqueting facilities for weddings and special events whilst also providing a venue for business conferences in the region.

The Oriental Spa, Seaham Hall Hotel, County Durham

Taking influences from the Far East, the ‘Oriental Spa’ was developed as a concept by forward thinking clients as the first of its kind in the UK.

The building houses various pools, treatment facilities, gardens and contemplation spaces; the design of both external shell and interior fit-out combining ancient oriental thinking within the confines of current regulations.   The leisure, well be-ing and restaurant facilities are allied to the award winning Seaham Hall Hotel, one of the regions highest rated Hotel and Restaurants, linking via an underground walkway though which both a stream of water, and residents flow.

Hadrian's Wall Preview Centre, Northumberland

This feasibility design bid assumes that the £1.5 million budget will provide a high quality, high technology interactive display which will fit within a 500m2 footprint including back of house facilities.  The design is appropriate to the eastern central section of Hadrian’s wall and focuses on the grandeur of the original construction, its decay and ultimate salvation by John Clayton.
