Jerwood Centre wins RIBA Award

The Jerwood Centre at The Wordsworth Trust in Grassmere has won an RIBA Award 2005. The judges said "it is a quiet yet dramatic building, with a wonderful tactile quality".

Dalton Park wins RIBA Hadrian Award

Dalton Park Factory Retail Centre collected an Award with the judges describing the building as having a “fresh contemporary feel that now challenges many of our preconceptions about design for shopping in any context, proven by already being one of the regions best performing retail developments”. The 150,000 sq ft development was described as being “a quite remarkable exercise in place making".

Triple Success at the RICS Awards

Napper had a successful night at the recent RICS North East Renaissance Awards. The Venerable Bede School was the winner in the sustainability category, with the Alnwick Treehouse and gardens winning the Award for Excellence. Centralofts won a Silver Award in the regeneration category.

An Award for the 21st Century

Centralofts collected another design award at the 21st Century Living Awards. The conversion of the 1933 Co-operative drapery warehouse into luxury residential apartments and office units won "Best Regeneration" project.

 

New Napper Offices at 3 Waterloo Square

We are  pleased to announce that we have moved over the Christmas period to our new bespoke Napper designed offices at Centralofts, 3 Waterloo Sq, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The Centralofts project was part of the Napper Masterplanned East Blenheim Street redevelopment for London and Regional Properties, with Napper also designing the Grainger Town multi storey car park opposite as part of the overall development known as Waterloo Sq.

 

Treehouse wins pretigious building award

The Treehouse at the Alnwick Garden designed by Napper Architects won the Leisure/Retail Award at the recent Landmark Awards held at the Gateshead Hilton. The Jerwood Centre Grasmere and the Treehouse were also short listed in the Public Sector and Environmental categories respectively. This award continues the winning streak started last year when Nappers won two awards for Dalton Park and Venerable Bede School at the same event.

 

Napper Retrospective Exhibition

Napper Architects today celebrated our 60 year anniversary with a retrospective exhibition and official launch party held at our new offices at 3 Waterloo Square.  The exhibition will remain on display for the remainder of the year and is available for clients to view within normal working hours.

Alnwick Wine Bar Official Opening

Napper Architects have just completed the latest phase of work connected with the Alnwick Castle masterplan.  A new 160 cover restaurant and wine bar has replaced a redundant coach house and stable block within the listed confines of the 18th century Hunters Courtyard.
